Aaren L. Nicoll, 32, Logansport, died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at his residence.
Born Nov. 4, 1978, in Winamac, he was the son of Stephen and Karen Harness Nicoll. He was married Feb. 29, 2003, in Lucerne, to Hillary Hart.
He was a 1997 graduate of Pioneer High School where he was a member of the cross country, track and wrestling teams. Aaren was a 4-H member for 10 years where he received numerous awards.
He was an avid hunter, winning the U.S. Bow Association. He also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Aaren loved his family.
Surviving are his wife, Hillary Nicoll, Logansport; sons, Isaac Nicoll and Eli Nicoll, both of Logansport; his parents, Stephen and Karen Nicoll, Lucerne; paternal grandparents, Donald and Mary Jo Nicoll, Lucerne; maternal grandmother, Patricia Harness, Lucerne; sister, Amy Covanes and husband, Jeremy, Houston, Texas; niece, Kaylee Covanes, Houston, Texas; aunts, Beth Miller and husband, Tim, Rochester, Tammie Nicoll, Fort Wayne, and Brenda Balensiefer and husband, Kevin, Clymers; uncle, Jim Harness and wife, Cinda, Lucerne; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard Harness, and uncle, Rick Harness.
Services will be at 6 p.m. today at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor David Sommers officiating.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
