Alberta Roberts

Alberta Ellen Roberts, 89, Logansport, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 11:28 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011.

Born Feb. 9, 1922, in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of Ershel and Anna Good Smith. She was married Jan. 1, 1938, in Knox, to Harold L. Roberts, who preceded in death.

Alberta retired from the H.W. Gossard Company in 1981 after 32 years of service.

Surviving are four daughters, Anna Day and husband, Bob, Logansport, Beverly Harman and husband, Keith, Bennington, Mary Sievers and husband, Dave, Logansport, and Shirley Joseph and husband, Dick, Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren, Michael Day and wife, Janice, Beth Day, and Joni Grandstaff and husband, Jerry, all of Logansport, Matthew Day and wife, Jodi, Leesburg, Va., Mark Day and wife, Sara, Lafayette, Bradley Harman, Madison, Bryan Harman, Seymour, Divana Bowyer and husband, Barry, Marion, Veronica Osborn and husband, Mike, Logansport, John Sievers, Galveston, and Michelle Corona and husband, Art, and Richard Joseph and wife, Stephanie, all of Albuquerque, N.M.; 24 great-grandchildren; 15

great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, two brothers, and one great-grandson.

Services will be private and held at a later date with Pastor Mike Osborn officiating.

Burial will be in Winamac Cemetery, Winamac.

There will be no visitation

Memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
