Services for Alice F. Long, 77, of New Waverly, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
She died at 4:07 a.m. Thursday, April 20, 2006, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born Dec. 6, 1928, in Kokomo, she was the daughter of Carroll and Fern Tull Weideman. She was married May 4, 1947, in Lewisburg, to Carl N. Long, who preceded in death Sept. 16, 1989.
Mrs. Long retired in 1987 after 22 years of service with the W.C. Redmon Company of Peru.
She was a member of New Waverly United Methodist Church, a Past Matron and member of the Fidelity Chapter #58 Order of Eastern Star, member of White Shrine of Jerusalem, and a member of the Amaranth.
Surviving are one son, Curtis C. Long and his wife, Penny, Wabash; one daughter, Pamela S. Bryan and her husband, Curt, Galveston; one son-in-law, Fred Benner, New Waverly; three sisters, Anna Heltsley, Peru, Martha Love, Chili, and Jane Frye and her husband, Max, Carey, Ohio; four brothers, Ralph Weideman, Jack Edward Weideman and his wife, Kay, and Robert A. Weideman and his wife, Marthagene, all of Peru, and William Ward Weideman, Kokomo; one brother-in-law, John Miller, Denver, Colo.; one sister-in-law, Rosalie Weideman, Peru; five grandchildren, Brett Bryan and his wife, Kristi, Logansport, Michelle Rudd and her husband, Chad, Flora, Amy Muday and her husband, Charles, Delton, Mich., Matthew Benner and his wife, Amber, Flora, and Bradley Benner, Kirkland; six great-grandchildren, Brady and Baylie Bryan, Mason and Carson Rudd, Natalie Muday and Kaden Benner; and several nieces and nephews.
One daughter, Nancy Benner, four sisters and two brothers preceded in death.
The Rev. Carl Davis will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home, where an Eastern Star service will be held at 5 p.m.
