Alvin L. "Junior" Fry, 69, of Kewanna, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 at Memorial Hospital in Logansport.
Born August 28, 1943 in Cass County, he was the son of the late Alvin L. Fry Sr. and Willmira DeWitt. On August 24, 1967 in Logansport he married Sandra Lee Rance who preceded in death on April 30, 2009.
Alvin was a retired shop foreman. He was a Vietnam Marine Veteran who received three Purple Hearts.
Surviving Alvin is one daughter, Janey (Jesus) Gonzalez, Royal Center; two sons, Johnny (Diana) Fry, and Alvin L. (Kim) Fry III, both of Kewanna; mother in law, Janie Eileen Rance, Logansport, ten grandchildren, Sherry Ensley, Frost Clements, Alvin Fry IV, Johnathon Fry Jr., Crystal Fry, Courtney Fry, JJ Gonzalez, Jessie Gonzalez, Venessa Estrada, and Jennifer Franco; seven great grandchildren, Riki Clements, Stephanie Ensley, Carah Ensley, Diane Fry, Maddalie Franco, Nayellie Estrada, and Russel Estrada; four sisters, Nada Rouch, Bonnie Hile, both of Logansport, Joyce (Phil) Rentschler, Nyona Lake; Juanita (Frank) Hines, Logansport; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Fry; one granddaughter, Stephanie Wagner; and one sister, Linda Kay Cannon.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 28, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crooked Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 also in the Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Riley Childrens Hospital or to the Stephanie Wagner Scholarship Fund.
