Ardys Weiand

Ardys Elaine Weiand, 64, of Fulton, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013 at 7:45 am, in her residence.

Born March 3, 1949 in Winamac, she was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Donna Marie (Lizenby) Madlung. On August 25, 1981 in Logansport she married Phillip E. “Skeet” Weiand who survives.

Ardys was a former bartender and waitress for the Fulton Pub and several other eating establishments. She was the first female Sherriff’s Deputy for the town of Francesville.

Other survivors include two daughters, Jody (Mike) Wash, Francesville, Ardys (Matthew) Messer, Winamac; foster daughter, Deborah (Rick) Madlung, Winamac: four step sons, Danny, Scott, Mark and Eric; three sisters, Bonnie, Charlotte and Dollie; brother, Rick (Deborah) Madlung, Winamac; several grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gundrum Funeral Home and Crematory.
