Services for Beatrice DeHaven, 83, Logansport, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
She died at 2:50 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, in her residence.
Born Jan. 13, 1924, in Haleyville, Ala., she was the daughter of Jasper and Loey Smelly Harris. She was married June 27, 1959, in Logansport, to Ernest IO DeHaven, who preceded in death Dec. 13, 1999.
Beatrice was a retired bartender for the Dutch Mill Tavern for 30 years.
She enjoyed gardening, flowers, fishing and mushroom hunting.
Surviving are one daughter, Cloey Ann Hicks and her companion, John Kilgore, Woodworth, Ill.; three sisters, Leona Gibson and her husband, Mike, Flora, Fredamae Brimer, and L. J. Salters and her husband, Linden, all of Alabama; three brothers, R.C. Harris and his wife, Judy, Jerry Harris and his wife, Sue, and Henry Harris and his wife, Mary, all of Alabama; four grandchildren, Jamie Moore and her husband, Clarence, Frankfort, Carol Ramirez and her husband, Manwell, Logansport, and Theresa Hicks and Pamela Elpers and her companion, James Gertsch, all of Milford, Ill.; 11 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Loey Rice, one granddaughter, Amanda Fleming, one sister and two brothers, preceded in death.
The Rev. Ken Byland will officiate at the services. Burial will be in St. Johnâs Cemetery, Logansport.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today in the funeral home.
