Bette J. Gundrum, 84 of Kewanna, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born on April 19, 1933 in Pulaski County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late George and Minnie June (Lowe) Townsend. On December 26, 1951 in Fulton, Indiana she married James Alfred Gundrum who survives.
Bette retired from Logansport National City Bank where she was the Manager of the Twelve Mile Branch. She was a member of American Legion Post #36, St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rochester and was a part of their Parish Council, and Altar and Rosary Society. Bette was a Board Member of the Fulton County Precinct Committee and the Fulton Cemetery. She also served as the treasurer for the Logansport Deanery D.C.C.W..
Surviving along with her husband Alfred is a son, James Robert (Terri) Gundrum, Rochester; two daughters, Sandy (Charles) Warpenburg, Twelve Mile; Beth (Gary) Williams, Rochester; grandchildren, Chuck (Abby) Warpenburg; Uriah (Josie) Horn; Christine (Steve) Lang; Amanda (Steve) Metzger; Nicole (Vance) Monical; Ryley Williams; Ryan Williams; great grandchildren, Ella, Monica, Jack, Paisley, Mason, Max, Chas, Gage, Grayce; and three great great grandchildren, Livy, Sadie and Oliver; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, William J. Gundrum; two sisters, Wilma Finks and Jeanne Fincher; and three brothers, George, Robert, and John Townsend.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rochester, IN with Fr. Dominic Petan Officiating. Burial will follow in the Fulton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00pm until 7:00pm on Tuesday October 3, 2017 at Gundrum Funeral Home. The Rosary will be said at 7:00pm.
Memorials may be made to the Fulton Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
