Betty L. Frey, 91, Logansport, died at 11:15 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2012, at WoodBridge Health Campus.

Born March 22, 1921, in Cass County, she was the daughter of Glen Sixbey and Edna E. Wendler. She was married Oct. 8, 1938, in Logansport, to Conn Frey, who preceded in death June 16, 2004.

Betty was a homemaker.

She was the oldest and longest tenured member of Anoka United Methodist Church. Betty was a member of the Royal Center Eastern Star and TOPS Club. She enjoyed quilting, mending clothes, seamstress work for her family, baking pies, making angel food cakes, making biscuits for the Anoka Church breakfasts, making noodles, gardening, farming and spending time with her family.

Betty had also been known for her wallpaper hanging skills.

Surviving are son, Kim Frey and wife, Mary B., Walton; daughters, Dixie Emler, Plainfield, and Nikki Price and husband, Larry, Peru; daughter-in-law, Nancy Frey, Walton; six grandchildren, Kelly Frey and wife, Carla, Logansport, Shane Frey and wife, Darla, Walton, Heike Ramsey and Greg Basey, Alexandria, Blake Benefiel and wife, Toni, Morgantown, W.V., Heath Frey and Roni Mathis, Kenosha, Wis., and Dusty Frey and wife, Chris, Walton; three stepgrandchildren, Matt Price and wife, Stephanie, Dunnellon, Fla., Shelly Baber and husband, Steve, Peru, and Chris Price and wife, Cindy, Mount Juliet, Tenn.; 16 great-grandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren; several sisters-in-law; and one brother-in-law.

She was preceded in death by one son, Jeff Frey, and two brothers, Ted and Richard Sixbey.

Celebration of life services will be at 11 a.m. June 2 at Anoka United Methodist Church with Pastor Chris Rife and the Rev. L. Robert Nelson officiating. A private burial will be held in the Deer Creek/Onward Cemetery, Onward.

The family will receive visitors from 9 a.m. until time of services June 2 at the church.
