Betty Hoff


Betty J. Hoff, 89, Lucerne, died at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at
Hickory Creek Nursing Home, Rochester.
Born Oct. 13, 1921, in Cass County, she was the daughter of Claude
Hamon and Bertha Guy. She was married July 20, 1937, in Kokomo,
to Richard Dean Hoff, who preceded in death Oct. 1, 1992.
Mrs. Hoff worked for Hart-Schafner-Marx in Rochester and also for
Caston School Corporation.
She was a member of Logansport Church of the Brethren. She
enjoyed puzzles, counted cross-stitching, and reading.
Surviving are sons, Richard L. Hoff and wife, Marilyn, and Rodney L.
Hoff and wife, Linda, all of Kewanna, and Dr. Kenneth E. Hoff and
wife, Karen, Rochester; daughter, Elaine K. Brown and husband,
Jerry, Lucerne; sister, Dorothy Dague, Kewanna; nine grandchildren;
15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and two
grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Metea Baptist Church with the
Rev. George Hapner officiating.
Burial will be in Metea Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Gundrum Funeral
Home and one hour before services Friday at the church.
