Betty Mcquiston

Betty Jean McQuiston, 81, Logansport, passed away at 8:44 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011, at her residence.

She was born April 22, 1929, in Fulton County to John W. Kaley and Bodie Lang Kaley.

She was married June 23, 1951, in Logansport, to Ernest E. McQuiston, who preceded Betty in death in 1972.

She retired in 1992 from Trelleborg Automotive (General Tire Company) after 42 years of service and had also worked at H.W. Gossard Company.

Betty was a member of Eagles Auxiliary and the First Assembly of God Church in Minnesota. She enjoyed bowling, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include sons, Steve L. McQuiston, Logansport, and Terry McQuiston and wife, Lori, Logansport; brothers, Kenneth Kaley, LaPorte, Virgil Kaley and wife, Ann, Logansport, and Phil Kaley and wife, Helen, Park Rapids, Minn.; sister, Helen Eileen Hizer, Indianapolis; and grandchildren, Derrick McQuiston and LeAnne Alder.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, John Jr., Harold and Bob Kaley.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Gundrum Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Azbell officiating. Burial will be in Ever Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
