Betty Morris

Betty J. Morris, 88 of Logansport, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014 in the Logansport Memorial Hospital .

Born October 15, 1926 in Walton, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Rollie and Stella (Purviance) Nelson.  On October 27, 1948 in Walton, she married Joe A. Morris who preceded in death on January 9, 1983.

Betty retired in 1994 from Four County Counseling Center where she worked in the dietary department.  She attended Blue Ball Christian Church near Walton. Betty enjoyed babysitting for family and friends, she was also an avid card player and enjoyed her weekly card gatherings with friends.

Surviving is a granddaughter, Deanna (Brian) Wolf, Logansport; grandson, Brandon (Carrie) Morris, Lafayette; daughter in law, Sharon Morris, Logansport; five great grandchildren, McKenna, Landon, and Griffin Wolf; Brennan and Laura Morris.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dean A. Morris; and two brothers, Donald and Robert Nelson.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Hayes officiating.  Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, also in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Blue Ball Christian  Church.
