Betty Rhodes

Betty K. Rhodes, 92, formerly of Logansport, died at 8:17 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2011, at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie.

Born Aug. 9, 1918, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Allen and Ada Madden Woodfill. She was married Nov. 18, 1936, in Elwood, to John D. “Steve” Rhodes, who preceded in death on July 2, 1989.

Betty was a homemaker.

She was a graduate of Logansport High School. She also was a member of Camden Chapter 475 OES, the Niddee Shrine Guild and a former member of Market Street United Methodist Church.

Surviving are son, J. Max Rhodes, Upland; daughter-in-law, Debra Rhodes, Waxahachie, Texas; Michelle Griffith and husband, Mark, Waxahachie, Texas; and grandson, Dustin Rhodes, Chicago.

She was preceded in death by one son, Mark Allen Rhodes, and two brothers.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Metea Cemetery. Gundrum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
