Betty Jane Wickersham, 96, of Logansport, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.

She was born on March 7, 1920 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Ferdinand Earnest and Maude May (Cookson) Meinzer.  On June 30, 1940 in Logansport Betty married C. Dale Wickersham who preceded in death on November 6, 2005.

Betty was a homemaker and the former secretary for her husband's plumbing business. She was member of New Life Alliance Church and loved traveling. Betty enjoyed working in her yard, hunting shells while walking on the beach, watching birds out of her window, while sitting at her kitchen table and spending time with her family.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas Jay (Charlene) Wickersham; James Dale (Louise) Wickersham, both of Logansport; eight grandchildren, John Douglas (Deb) Wickersham; Matthew Allen (Denise) Wickersham; Steve Henderson, all of Logansport; Jimmy Henderson, Missouri; Tony (Melanie) Wickersham, Kokomo; Eric (Brya) Wickersham, Logansport; Nolan (Lauren) Wickersham, Arkansas; Brandon Wickersham, Illinois; niece, Jane Kincaid, Noblesville, IN; several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Rolland O. Meinzer.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 1, 2016 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastors Scott Halterman and Ken Oravsky officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday.
