Betty Winings

Betty J. Winings, 82, of New Waverly, passed away at 10:06 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2012, at Woodbridge Health Campus, Logansport.

Betty was born June 23, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Edgar Collard and Margaret Pedigo. She married Russell Winings on Dec. 6, 1980, in Walton, and he preceded her in death Feb. 18, 1991.

She was retired from General Tire Company and a member of Walton United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Michael A. Ross, of Logansport; a daughter, Julie Ross, of Terre Haute; a sister, Shirley Vaught, of Nevada; three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Gary L. Ross, one sister and three brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel. Burial will be at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County.
