Services for Billy D âBuckâ Sedam, 78, Twelve Mile, will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in Gundrum Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Metea Cemetery in Metea.
He died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, in his residence.
Born April 24, 1929, in Logansport, he was the son of Parmer D. and Anna Kenney Sedam. He was married Oct. 19, 1950, in Geneva, to Dorothy I. Wells, who preceded in death Oct. 15, 1997.
Buck lived in and around Logansport all of his life and retired from Elco Industries in 1989. He served in the Indiana National Guard from 1948 to 1955.
His hobbies included camping with his travel camper, swimming, flying, boating, motorcycling and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are son, Rex Sedam, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; daughters, Fonda Williams and husband, Butch, Twelve Mile, and Tina Marshall and husband, Garry, Logansport; brothers, Norman Gene Sedam, Winkelman, Ariz., and Dean A. Sedam, Logansport; five grandchildren, Haily RanDell Sedam, Fonda Gene Hasan, Brittiny Marie Seybt, Jason Alan Marshall and Janelle Lee Murray; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Don Sedam; one sister, Alice Mae Enyart Wolfe; and three grandchildren.
Dr. Horace Smith will officiate at the services.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Guardian Angel Hospice Service.
