Services for Bobby D. Sexton, 72, Logansport, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
He died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2009, in his residence.
Born July 29, 1936, in McKenzie, Tenn., he was the son of Prentice D. and Betty Bobbitt Sexton. He was married July 21, 1972, in Logansport, to Ruth Maloney, who preceded in death March 14, 2005.
Bobby retired as a truck driver for Schwerman Trucking Co., hauling cement for Essroc Cement Plant.
He was a member of the Teamsters Union and former member of VFW Post 3790, American Legion Post 60 and Fraternal Order of Police.
Surviving are son, Mike Sexton, Peru; stepson, James Lee Cripe Sr. and wife, Karen, Logansport; stepdaughter, Jan Cripe Bradley and husband, Charles, Virginia Beach, Va.; sisters, Patricia Ashner, Albuquerque, N.M., and Betty June Leible, Big Sandy, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Rev. William Art Maloney and wife, Lucille, Logansport; grandchildren, Michael Sexton and wife, Dorrie, and Tracy Powell and husband, Mark, all of Logansport, and Kelly Sexton, and Terry Gant and husband, Danny, all of Milan, Tenn.; stepgrandchildren, James Lee Cripe Jr. and wife, Angela, Whitestown, Cory Lee Cripe and wife, Melissa, Logansport, Shane Lee Cripe and wife, B.J., Indianapolis, and Chadwick A. Bradley, Virginia Beach, Va.; great-grandchildren, Skye Sexton, Tabitha Gant, Kateland Gant, Josh Gant, Alyssa Sexton, Blake Sexton, Brooklyn Sexton and Mark Sexton; stepgreat-grandchildren, Taylor Cripe, Jeremy Cripe and Courtlyn Wagoner; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry, Georgie and David Sexton.
The Rev. William Art Maloney will officiate. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace Fellowship Church.
