Bonnie Louise Zimpleman, 89, Fulton, passed away at home December 30, 2014 surrounded by family after a long battle with ovarian cancer. Born on March 24, 1925 in Fulton she was the daughter of Ralph and Minnie (Bruce) Eytcheson. On September 27, 1947 she married William Zimpleman, the love of her life, and was married 49 years before his passing on September 14, 1996.
Bonnie’s life was committed to helping Bill farm. She cooked countless meals for both her family and their help, assisted with paperwork and bookkeeping and raised their children. A lifelong member of the Fulton Baptist Temple, she was also a longtime treasurer of the Fulton Baptist Ladies Missionary. She was most happy being home enjoying family, friends and church.
She is survived by sons Gene Zimpleman and wife Mary, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jack Zimpleman and wife Diane, Fulton as well as Andy Curtis and wife Deb. Andy was like another son to her and spent forty years as part of her life. Eight grandchildren, Angie (Paul) Deming, Ryan (Lisa) Zimpleman, Greg (Camile) Zimpleman and Laura (Jason) Woolever all of Fulton; Kyle (Kimberly) Zimpleman, South Lyon, Michigan; Todd (Nicole) Zimpleman, Niles, Michigan; Marla Zimpleman, South Bend and Garrett Robinson, Grand Rapids, Michigan and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, brother and infant twin sons.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 3, 2015 in the Gundrum Funeral Home, 1603 Broadway, Logansport with Pastor Bruce Russell officiating. Burial will be at the Fulton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday.
