Brenda Joyce Hoch, 64, Kokomo, died at 10:38 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, in St. Vincent
Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born Feb. 2, 1946, in Chattanooga, Tenn., the daughter
of Marion Francis Hall and Hazel Newberry.
On Sept. 24, 1983, in Logansport, she married Victor L. Hoch.
Brenda was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, movies, and spending time with family. She touched the lives of many children as a foster mother, part-time child care worker, and in support of many friends and family. She was a member of the Abundant Life Church of Kokomo. She was
a 1964 graduate of Logansport High School.
Surviving are her husband, Victor L. Hoch, Kokomo; a son, Shawn C. Hoch and wife,
Adriana, Indianapolis; two sisters, Frances Hale and husband, William, Indianapolis,
and Wanda Walker, Wells, Maine; two brothers, David Hall and wife, Peggy, Orlando,
Fla., and Timothy Michael Hall and wife, Debbie, Indianapolis; and two grandchildren,
Julian and Sara Hoch, Indianapolis.
A daughter, Mary Frances Murphy; a sister, Marian Evans and a brother, Carl Hall,
preceded her in death.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport. Pastor
Charles Riley will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Logansport. Friends
may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the
