Brian Sims

Brian K. Sims, 55, of Logansport, passed away at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in his residence.

Born February 20, 1958 in Kankakee, IL, he was the son of John and Margaret Marie ”Peggy” (Bacino) Sims who survive.

On September 2, 1995 in Logansport, Indiana he married Jacqueline L. Petrie who preceded in death on April 18, 2013.

Brian was a retired construction worker. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Surviving along with his parents are three daughters, Christina (John) Cover, Logansport; Helena (Ramerio Ballero) Sims, Ft. Worth, TX; and Rachel Sims, Omaha, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Kegan Clark-Sanchez, Daniel Dennis, Noah Ballero and Gabe Ballero; three sisters, Michelle (Patrick) Casey, Grand Prairie, TX; Robin (Randy) Quick, Sycamore, IL; and Traci (Bob) McElroy, Elburn, IL; and three brothers, Bill (Becky) Sims, Ava, Missouri; Steve Sims, Buford, Georgia; and Rick (Gloria) Sims, Sycamore, IL; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 20, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Father Michael McKinney officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM Sunday, May 19, 2013 also in the funeral home.
