C. Lowe

C. Mendel Lowe, 85, of Peru, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Blair Ridge Health Campus in Peru.

Born August 14, 1928 in Peru, he was the son of the late Clarence S. and M. Carmen (Kotterman) Lowe. On November 26, 1950 in New Waverly, Indiana he married Viola Lorraine Long who preceded in death on May 26, 2007.

Mendel retired in 1992 from Farm Bureau Co-Op in Peru after 21 years of service.
He was a member of New Waverly United Methodist Church, and a member of the New Waverly Masonic lodge where he was a Past Master.

Surviving is his son, Steven M. (Carol) Lowe; daughter, Kay (Jerry) Wolfe, both of Peru; grandchildren, David (Charlotte) Lowe, Peru; Kevin (Laura) Lowe, Logansport; Angie (Dan) Mayhill, Peru; Emily (Drew) Nye, Noblesville; Malinda (Wes) Miner, Peru; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by one son, David J. Lowe; one brother, Richard Lowe; and one granddaughter, Kayla Conklin.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, June 9, 2014 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Clark officiating. Burial will be held at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 - 4:00 PM also in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the New Waverly United Methodist Church.
