Carol J. Hodge Heaton, 76, of Burlington, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 7, 2022, at Waterford Place in Kokomo.

Born February 2, 1946, Carol is the daughter of the late Ralph and Mabel (Hardy) Nethercutt.  On August 18, 1963, Carol married Ronnie J. Hodge who preceded her in death on May 27, 1996.  On June 17, 2000, Carol married Ron Heaton who survives, he was with her when she passed.

Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma. She loved her family. Carol was a faithful Christian and loved the Lord. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Logansport and attended Burlington United Methodist Church. Carol loved to share her testimony on how she was a miracle through her several battles with cancer.

Surviving along with her husband, Ron, is a son, Ronald Curtis ( Sue) Hodge, Dekalb, IL; three daughters, Rhonda (Jeff) Allen, Logansport; Ronica (Margie) Hodge-Miller, Delphos, OH; Ronette (Beau Frey) Powell, Logansport; step daughter, Connie (Steve) Blanford, Noblesville, IN; stepson, Matt (Hanna) Heaton of Circleville, IN ; 18 grandchildren, Chelsea (Jeff) Hardekopf, Valerie Hodge, Sarah Hodge, Lydia Hodge, Aubrey Billingsley, April (Travis) Coffman, Jared Allen, Reece Hodge-Miller, Kyra Hodge-Miller, Nyah Hodge-Miller, Livia Hodge-Miller, Drew Powell, Payton Powell, Heidi Frey, Nathan Blanford, Kaylah Bolender-Heaton, Annabelle Heaton and Dillon Heaton; 4 great grandchildren. Blake Billingsley, Rhea Coffman, Delanie Coffman and Dahlia Hardekopf; 3 brothers, Truman Nethercutt, Robert Nethercutt and Tom Nethercutt and 1 sister, Evelyn Downs.

Carol was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Harold Osborn, Darolyn Osborn, George Osborn and Ralph Nethercutt Jr. and 1 sister, Josephine Baker.

Carol was loved by many. She will be greatly missed by her extended family of siblings, numerous nieces, nephews, special friends, and church family. We were all blessed by her life and her Christ-like example.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 109 W. Clinton Street, Logansport. Pastor Jeff Allen and Pastor Mark Miller will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Kistler Cemetery, Royal Center.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday, also at the Church.
