Carol Sharp Long ,97, Walton, went home to be with the Lord at 11:27a.m. Monday June 2, 2008, at the home of her granddaughter in Walton. She was born August 29, 1910 in Walton, In. The eldest of three children born to Elmer and Donna (Oden) Shuman. A graduate of Walton High School Class of 1928. She married Forrest Sharp January 30, 1932, he preceded her in death December 18, 1966. On January 10 1968 she married Benton Long who preceded her in death May 12, 1984. She was very proud of being a Farmer's wife. She worked side by side farming with her husbands.
She was member of Shiloh Lutheran Church, Walton. She enjoyed traveling and camping, which she and Benton did alot of in retirement. She also enjoyed crocheting, and doing word search puzzles. She loved being with her "punkin" Trey a bond like no other.
She is survived by her granddaughter and care taker Kellie and husband Todd Ronk,Walton; Grandson Tim and wife Danielle Long, Muncie; Great-grandsons, Drew, Connor and Trey McCulley, Walton; and Kyle and wife Leighandra Long, Montana; Great-granddaughters Hayley and Malley Ronk, Walton; and Erin Long, Muncie; Brother Laddie Shuman and Companion Agnes Bossung, Monticello; Sister Patty Lou Wilson, Ft Wayne; Niece Janis and husband David Helbert, Garrett; Nephew Jay Smith, Ft Wayne; Special Great Nephew Patrick Sharp, Singapore; and several more neices and nephews.

Services will be Friday June 6th at 10:00 a.m. at Gundrum funeral home, Logansport with Pastor Sharon Walker officiating. Burial will be at Walton I.O.O.F. cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
