Carolyn “Sue” (nee: Peters) Buck, 78, of Logansport, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 29, 2020, in Lebanon, OH.
Born on June 5, 1942, to Clyde L. and Leona Ruth (nee: Ren) Peters in Winamac, IN. She married Robert T. Buck on December 17, 1960, in Winamac.
Sue was a 1960 graduate of Winamac High School. She retired from Westside Union School District in Lancaster, CA. She was an active member of the Logansport First Church of the Nazarene and she dearly loved her church family.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and she took every opportunity to share the love of Jesus with others. She enjoyed camping, scrapbooking, reading, and most importantly, spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert T. Buck, her parents, a brother, Darl Lee “Joe” Peters, father-in-law James Otis Buck, mother-in-law Elsie Ruth (nee: Fritz) Buck, and brother-in-law Ron Buck.
She is survived by daughter Michelle Buck, of Lebanon, OH; son Michael Buck (Kathy), of Lebanon, OH; grandson Alec Buck, of Lebanon, OH; granddaughter Lauren Buck, of Lebanon, OH; brother Larry Peters (Nancy), of Stilesville, IN; brother-in-law Jim Buck, of Metaire, LA; sister-in-law Barbara Buck (Joe), of Logansport, and many nephews and nieces.
Services will be held at 11 am Saturday at the Logansport First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Jeff Allen and Dr. Horace Smith officiating. Interment in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Friday at the Logansport First Church of the Nazarene and one hour prior to the service Saturday.
