Carroll "Bud" M. Ide, 89, of Winona Lake, and formerly of Logansport, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 5:00 PM at his son's residence in Pierceton, Indiana.
Born August 18, 1923 in Cass County, Indiana, he was the son of the late Clay B. and Charlotte (Morgan) Ide. On April 21, 1946 in Logansport, Indiana, he married Debra J. Hammontree who survives.
Bud was a retired farmer and had also worked construction. He was a United States Marine Veteran during WWII, a 1941 graduate of Logansport High School and a member of Webb Chapel United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #60, and V.F.W. Post 3790.
Surviving along with his wife are three sons, Stanley (Sandra) Ide, Pierceton, IN; Steven (Barbara) Ide, Nashville, TN; Terry (Jeanette) Ide, Powder Springs, GA; brother, Roger (Margaret) Ide, Logansport, IN; twelve grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Claire Ide, and one sister, Charlene Apfelstadt.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Rev. Tim McKaig and Rev. Bill Bergstrom officiating. Burial with full military graveside rites will be held in Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home..
