Catherine Koebbe

Cathy Koebbe, 64, has passed from this realm and was born into Eternal Life.  She was a US Army veteran, and spent the last three decades residing in Indianapolis.

Cathy was born to Joseph and Doris (Conia) Koebbe in Marion, Illinois.  She was a 1973 graduate of Culver Community High School, and enlisted in the Army the following year.  After her Army career ended, she met Mark Gundrum of Fulton.  The couple married in 1981, and welcomed a son, Adam, in 1982.

Cathy eventually found herself following in her mother’s footsteps, and graduated from Ivy Tech to become a Licensed Practical Nurse.  She worked in several facilities over the last 20 years.  She found joy in caring for others, and was constantly spoiling her family members with gifts she would find while out shopping.  Cathy also inherited a love of antiques from her parents.  Her favorites were tomato collectibles from Occupied Japan, gold leaf décor with Asian elements, and anything with cherry blossoms.

Cathy was preceded in death by both of her parents and a brother, Kurt Koebbe.  She is survived by her son, Adam (Whitney) Gundrum of Logansport, brothers Mark Koebbe of Wisconsin, Carl (Deborah) Koebbe of Georgia, Eric Koebbe of Argos, and one sister, Jean (Rex) Schrimsher of Plymouth.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial with military funeral honors at the Culver Masonic Cemetery on Friday, September 13 th , at 1 PM.  Father Bill Meininger will preside over the service.
