Charles E. Jump, 91, of Walton, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022, at Logansport Memorial Hospital in Logansport.
Charles was born on November 27, 1930, at home, in Deer Creek Township. He is the son to the late Frank and Gladys (Schwalm) Jump. Charles graduated from Young America High School in 1948.
On August 31, 1952, in Logansport, Charles married Lois K. Wilson who survives. Charles is a United States Air Force Veteran and served during the Korean War. After his service, Charles began his career as a lifelong farmer, raising crops and livestock.
Charles attended Calvary Presbyterian Church and was a 65-year member of the Walton American Legion Post 418 and served on the Logansport Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees for 18 years.
Surviving along with his wife Lois, are two daughters, Vicki Maughmer of Walton; Linda (Andy) Forsythe of Belton, MO; son, David (Beth) Jump of Walton; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Jump; sister, Jane Fair; and a son in law, Rick Maughmer.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor David Noel officiating. Burial with full Military graveside rites will be held in the Galveston Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday, also at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Logansport Memorial Hospital Foundation, 1101 Michigan Ave, Logansport, IN 46947.
