Charles V. Justice, 52, Macy, passed away 2:43 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, in his residence after a 16-month fight with cancer.
Born Oct. 22, 1957, in Logansport, Ind., he was the son of Charles L. Justice and Esther E. Gunter. On Nov. 16, 1985, in Fulton, Ind., he married Teresa A. Zartman.
Charlie began working in construction before becoming a mechanic and opening his own shop, which he operated for 24 years.
Charlie enjoyed gardening and loved animals. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and boating during his numerous family camping trips to Mississinewa Reservoir and Dale Hollow Lake.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa A. Zartman, Macy; two sons, Branden Justice, Macy, and Bradley Justice, Macy; two sisters, Diana Byers and husband John, Marion, and Alberta Aaron and husband Larry, Daytona Beach, Fla.; father and mother, Charles L. and Esther E. Justice, Logansport; father and mother-in-law, Tom and Carolyn Zartman, Fulton; brother-in-law, Ralph Lopez, Peru; nephews, Eddie Lopez, Rochester, and Matthew Lopez, Atlanta, Ga.; nieces, Jennifer Scoles and husband Andy, Knoxville, Tenn., and Kayla Chapman and husband Jeremy, Lucerne; and brother-in-laws, David Zartman and wife Penny, Macy, and Jerry Zartman and wife Stephanie, Rochester.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Bruce Justice.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home.
Pastor Jeff Russell will officiate. Burial will be in Fulton Cemetery, Fulton.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
