Charles Kirkland, 78, of Young America, passed away on Wednesday May 15, 2019 in his residence.
Born on July 23, 1940 in South Bay, FL, he was the son to the late C.A. Kirkland and Evelyn Fisher.
On May 23, 1973 in Fort Worth, Texas he married Brenda Pettit who survives.
Charles was self employed as a heating and air conditioning technician. He enjoyed camping, fishing, taking everyone skiing, tubing, taking the boat for a ride, Texas BBQing for his family and cooking crawfish. He was a Member of Llano Crawfish. Above all else and most importantly, Charles loved his family, especially all of his grandchildren.
Surviving along with his wife are three daughters, Shelly (Dave) Parker of Fredericksburg, TX, Penny (Nathan) Lewellen of Young America, IN, Karen (David) Perry of Llano, TX; three sons, Daniel (Tom Cole) Kirkland of Corpus Christi, TX, Chuck (Tami Hopkins) Kirkland of Kerrville, TX, Brian (Jewel Hopkins) Kirkland of Kerrville, TX; 18 Grandchildren; Several Great Grandchildren; brother, Everett Kirkland of Logansport, IN; four sisters, Juanita Waliky of Kerrville, TX, Margaret Garza of Ingram, TX, Paula McCall of Andrews, TX, Trenda Neal of Fort Worth, TX;
Preceded in death by son, Samuel Keith Kirkland, brother, Junior Kirkland, father, C.A. Kirkland, mother, Evelyn Wilson, granddaughter, Gabriel Kirkland.
