Charles Knox

LOGANSPORT — Charles R. Knox, 75, Logansport, died at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at WoodBridge Health Campus.

Born Dec. 7, 1935, in Edenton, N.C., he was the son of Benjamin and Annie Shaw Knox. He was married Dec. 18, 1959, in Logansport, to Patricia Jo “Patty” Johnson, who preceded in death June 11, 2010.

Charles retired from the U.S. Air Force. He also worked for NIPSCO.

He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, VFW Post 3790, American Legion Post 60 and Tipton Masonic Lodge 33.

He enjoyed watching NASCAR, football, baseball and especially the Indianapolis Colts.

Surviving are daughter, Lisa Hunt and husband, Paul, Logansport; grandson, Paul Hunt IV, Logansport; brothers, Larry Knox and wife, Ann, Edenton, N.C., and Buster Knox, Portsmouth, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Vernon Knox; and two sisters, Frances Garner and Louise Castello.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Tom DeFries officiating. Burial, with full military graveside rites, will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
