Charlotte Conrad

Charlotte M. Conrad, 82 of Walton, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

Born on May 4, 1934 in Miami County, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Russell and Adeline (Newport) Price. On December 27, 1953 in the Onward Christian Church she married Donald M. Conrad who survives.

Charlotte was the Ala Carte Manager at Caston High School for 25 years. She was a member of Onward Christian Church where she enjoyed being part of the Women’s Fellowship. Charlotte also enjoyed basket making, cake decorating, making noodles and being a member of the Gaynighters Home Economics Club. Her go-to things to cook for her family were deviled eggs and cherry cake.

Surviving along with her husband Don, are three sons, Thomas Conrad, Logansport; Ray Conrad, Frederick, MD; and William Conrad, St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Jason, Michael and Brianna Conrad; three brothers, George (Marge) Price; Harold (Cathy) Price, both of Logansport; John (Pauline) Price, Lafayette; sister, Arlene (Keith) Murray, Houston, TX.

She was preceded in death one grandson, Greg Conrad; brother in law, Joe Conrad; and sister in law Dorothy Pearish.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 5, 2016 in the Onward Christian Church, 21 Oak Street, Onward, IN with Pastor Rod Mason officiating. Burial will follow in the Metea Cemetery, Metea, IN.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Gundrum Funeral Home and 1-hour prior to the service in the church.
