Christy Kay Overly

Christina Kay Overly, age 50, of Lafayette and formerly of Logansport, passed away unexpectedly on April 2, 2025, at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

Born on March 13, 1975, in Logansport to Thomas “Tommy” Collins Minniear and Karen Kay (Bailey) Pickard. On August 27, 1994, in Logansport Christina married Erik Michael Overly who survives.

Christy was a medical transcriptionist. She was a 1993 graduate of Logansport High School

Survivors, including her husband Erik, are one son, Eron Miles Overly, Lafayette; one daughter, Mahayla Kay Overly, Texas; mother, Karen Kay Pickard; aunts, Pam (Joe Staples) Minniear, Donna (Gary Morehouse) Minniear; one uncle, Perry (Dee) Minniear, all of Logansport; several cousins.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 12:00 – 4:00 pm Saturday April 5, 2025, in the Gundrum Funeral Home.
