Clarence âBillâ W. Bucks, 82, Twelve Mile, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at his home.
He was born Jan. 20, 1929, in South Bend to Claude Bucks and Freida Aebi Bucks. His stepfather was Allen Sturdivant.
He was married Oct. 13, 1951, in Corinth, Miss., to Betty Jean Bucks, who preceded him in death Feb. 8, 1992.
Bill was a retired, self-employed drywall finisher.
Clarence was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are daughter, Donna Bucks, Hopkinsville, Ky.; daughter, Betty Nickle and husband, Mike, Pensacola, Fla.; brother, Robert Bucks, Glen Carbon, Ill.; grandson, Corey Beaverson, California; great-grandson, Noah Beaverson, Arkansas; great-granddaughter, Olivia Beaverson, Arkansas; and two stepgrandchildren, Jerry and Madison.
Brother Raymond Bucks, sister Caroline DeWitt and stepsister Edith Clark
preceded him in death.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Gundrum Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott MeNeely officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport, with full military rites.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
