Clarice Harlin

Services for Clarice J. Harlin, 68, Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

She died at 2:32 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2007, in his daughter’s residence near Royal Center.

Born Nov. 22, 1938, in Royal Center, she was the daughter of William and Ethel Tomlinson Weaver. She was married May 20, 1961, in Hartsville, Tenn., to Lester Cortez Harlin, who survives.

Clarice retired in 1997 after 22 years as a custodian for the Logansport School Corporation.

She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and was past president of the Washington Elementary School PTA.

Also surviving are one son, Jerry Harlin and his wife, Jynell, Logansport; two daughters, Jennifer Layer and her husband, Mark, and Janette Hines and her husband, Scott, all of Royal Center; four grandchildren, Jessica Layer, Johnathan Harlin, Kevin Hines and Rachel Hines; and several nieces and nephews.

Seven brothers and one sister preceded in death.

Deacon Juan Rodriguez will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
