Cletha A. Elliott

Cletha A. Elliott, 95, of Logansport, passed away Friday, August 4, 2023, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.

Born on September 10, 1927, in Royal Center, Indiana, Cletha is the daughter of the late Athel and Lelia (Vernon) Bagwell.  On January 1, 1948 Cletha married Joseph M. Rossi who preceded in death on July 31, 1973.  Then on November 2, 1979, she married Donald H. Elliott who preceded in death on April 21, 2010.

Cletha had worked many years as a switchboard operator for Indiana Bell (GTE).  She was a former member of Crooked Creek Christian Church and Main Street Community Church. 

Surviving Cletha are her two children, Lynn (Jeff) Burton of Royal Center; Mike (Patti) Rossi of Largo, FL; two step sons, Donald H. (Patti) Elliott Jr. of Frankfort; David (Susie) Elliott of Flora; two step daughters, Darlene (Bob) Scales of Tennessee; Donna Quain of Terre Haute; step son in law Gary McLeland of Logansport; 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren; sister, Jane Kennell of Royal Center and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Thora Goodrich and a brother, Dale Bagwell; two stepdaughters, Darla McLeland and Dyanna Elliott.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow at Crooked Creek Cemetery near Royal Center.

Visitation will be held from Noon until the time of service on Saturday, also in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Main Street Community Church or Crooked Creek Christian Church.
