Connie L. Williams, 64, Logansport, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2011. She courageously fought three battles of breast cancer over the past 10 years. Connie passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by those who loved her.

Born June 28, 1946, in Logansport, Connie was the daughter of the late Gale “Rusty” and Eileen Byers Brugh. On Jan. 28, 1967, she married Jerry W. Williams.

Connie was a 1964 graduate of Logansport High School. She retired in June 2010 from Green Power Inc. She had previously been employed at National Bank and WSE Chevrolet.

Connie is survived by her husband, Jerry W. Williams; son, Scott B. Williams and wife, Jackie, Rochester; daughters, Jerrilyn Warner and husband, Jason, Brownsburg, and Allison A. Robinson and husband, Brian, Romney; grandchildren, Brugh, Aaron and Abigail Williams and Grant and Davis Warner; sister, Carol A. Kramer and husband, Ralph, Shelbyville; brother, James L. Brugh and wife, Sue, Logansport; and sister-in-law, Karen S. Brugh, Pittsville, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael G. Brugh.

Connie will be remembered by her loved ones for her sweet and simple demeanor, compassionate spirit and generous smile. She shared her love for family and friends through homemade gifts, such as decorated cakes, cookies and candies and knitted crafts. She also enjoyed to read, garden and practice yoga. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially to historical sites and reenactments, and together they were avid spectators of car shows and drag races. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In the last few weeks of her life, Connie was cared for and surrounded by family and friends.

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, support and kindness offered by many.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
