Coy Dwight Lane

Coy Dwight Lane, age 89, of Logansport and formerly of Stockwell, IN, passed away Monday April 14, 2025, in Millers Merry Manor.

Born January 3, 1936, in Crawford County, IN to the late Roscoe and Mollie (King) Lane. On November 5, 1976, he married Linda L. (Nicewander) who preceded in death November 3, 2022.

Coy retired from Alcoa in 1986 after 30 years of service. He was a 1954 graduate of French Lick High School. He became grounds keeper in 1986 for SUMC and Stockwell UMC custodian in 2000. He was a member of AMA and North American Fishing Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and motorcycling. He was a member of Stockwell United Methodist Church where he served on various church boards and was a former trustee and treasurer.

Survivors include four sons, Jeffry (Cindy) Lane, Oxford, IN; Joseph (Tina) Lane, Pine Village, IN; Stevin (Michelle) McClain, Estelle Spring, TN; Duane Snider, Covington, IN three daughters, Patricia Sue Tucker, Lafayette; Julie Lane, Lafayette; Lana (John) Combs, Logansport; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren several great great grandchildren and a special grandson, Levi Dyer, whom took special care of Coy and Linda.

Coy was also preceded in death by one sister, Sylvia Wise; three brothers, Charles, Laverne and Edward Lane.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in the Stockwell Community Church with Pastor Mike Collins officiating. A burial will follow in the Concord Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of services at the church.
