Crystal Newburn

Crystal Helen Newburn, 94, Kokomo, formerly of Logansport and Walton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 2:00 PM in Century Villa Health Care and Rehab, located in Greentown, IN.

Born November 27, 1919 in Cass County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Edna (Nelson) Plank. On October 20, 1946 in Walton, Indiana, she married Edward Dale Newburn who preceded her in death on February 21, 1998.

Crystal was a beautician and a homemaker. She was a member of the New Life Alliance Church in Logansport, and also attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Kokomo. She enjoyed doing crafts, volunteer work, gardening, and flowers.

Surviving is one daughter, Darlene (Jeff) Bochman, Menomonie, WI; two sons, Randall (Joy) Newburn, Kent, WA; Robert (Debbie) Newburn, Kokomo; five grandsons, Keith (Teri) Newburn, Quito, Ecuador; David (Gretel) Newburn; Daniel (Melody) Newburn, both of Seattle, WA; Nathan (Lyndsey) Newburn, Muncie; Michael (Amy) Bochman, Norwalk, OH; three granddaughters, Cristina Newburn, Seattle, WA; Katie (Nick) Voss, Menomonie, WI; Heidi (Andrew) Bishop, Marysville, OH; eight great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joan Plank, Walton.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Don Plank and one sister, Frances Plummer.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am Monday, February 24, 2014 at the Metea Cemetery.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, March 15, 2014 in the New Life Alliance Church, with Pastor Woody Neu and Pastor Scott Halterman officiating. Burial was in Metea Cemetery.

A gathering of friends and family will be held two hours prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to the New Life Alliance Church in Logansport or AWANA International.
