Dale M. Davidson, 85, Logansport, died at 4:50 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born March 10, 1924, in Cass County, he was the son of Clyde and Blanche Buchanan Davidson. He was married Jan. 23, 1948, in the parsonage at Market Street Methodist Church to Betty L. Shaver.
Dale owned and operated Davidsonâs Construction and Equipment Company.
He was a former trustee of Bethlehem Township, a school bus driver for Metea, and also farmed. He also was a member of Elks Lodge 66, Eagles, Izaak Walton League and Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards and shuffleboard.
Surviving are his wife, Betty L. Davidson, Logansport; daughters, Sandy Shaw, and Donna E. Christiansen, both of Twelve Mile; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Davidson, Twelve Mile; grandchildren, Shanna A. Zehr, Veedersburg, and Trisha L. Price, Galveston, Justin Shaw, Myrtle Beach, S.C., Tonya Hartman and husband Howard, Lucerne, Kimberly Davidson, Macy, Angela York and husband, Toby Rochester, and Matthew Davidson, Twelve Mile; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Mac D. Davidson; one son-in-law, Glen J. Christiansen; one grandchild, Aaron Christopher Davidson; three sisters, Georgia Davidson, Ruth Snoke and Helen Penny; and two brothers, Wendell Davidson and Galen Davidson.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Kleymann officiating.
Burial will be in Metea Cemetery, Metea.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
