Daniel Heishman

Daniel Heishman, 62, of Logansport, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, IN.

Born on August 21, 1951, he was the son of the late Edgar "Hammer" and Anna Rebecca (Leazenby) Heishman.

Dan retired in 2013 from Logansport Municipal Utilities with over 39 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post #60 and a US Army Veteran.
Dan enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, horse racing, casinos, movies, walking and spending time outdoors. He really enjoyed spending time with his family especially his ten grandchildren

Surviving are five daughters, Michelle (Mark) Hettmansperger, Delta, OH; Tracy (Kraig) Burns, Denver, IN; Angie Heishman and Tony Corn , Kewanna, IN; Danielle Heishman, Logansport; Cory (Jason) Ulerick, Walton, IN; brother, Wayne (Connie) Heishman, Logansport; ten grandchildren; two nephews and one niece.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in the Gundrum Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport with full military graveside rites.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association.
