Daniel Lipps

Daniel J. Lipps, 67, Logansport, died at 9:50 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012, at St. Elizabeth East, Lafayette.

Born Nov. 4, 1944, in Buckhannon, W.V., he was the son of Riley Blaine Lipps and Virginia Posey.

He was a self-employed mechanic.

Surviving are stepmother, Annabell Lipps, Buckhannon, W.V.; daughters, Kelly Jenell Lipps, Batesville, Ark., Norma Nicholas and Kevin, Lake Cicott, Christie Joy Williams and husband, Billy, Shipshewana, and Deanna Jo Baugh and husband, Pat, Peru; sons, Ernest James Lipps, Logansport, and Daniel Lipps and wife, Jessica, Monticello; brothers, Ernest Frederick Lipps, Gassaway, W.V., Blaine Lipps, and Daniel Lipps, both of Buckhannon, W.V., Riley E. Lipps, Centry, W.V., Bernard Lipps and Woodrow Lipps, both of Buckhannon, W.V.; sisters, Mary Perrine, Centry, W.V., and Faye Zirkle, Beverly, W.V.; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Mike, Josh, Lee and Jennie.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Mae Lipps and Barbara Cottrill; one brother, Delmas Riffle; and two sons, Troy Ray Ackerman and Robert Lee Ackerman.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin Hinkle officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
