Services for David L. Haynes, 65, of Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

He died with his family at his side at 7:10 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2006, in the Heart Center of Indiana, Indianapolis.

Born April 30, 1941, in Logansport, he was the son of Clyde Homer and Era Katherine Hood Haynes. He was married Feb. 23, 1963, in Logansport, to Sharon L. Dunn, who survives.

Mr. Haynes retired from Matthew-Warren in 2005, after 42 years of service.

He was a life member of the Elk’s Lodge #66 and former member of the Eagle’s.

David coached little league baseball for 10 years and was a member of the Logan Lovelies, where he was known as Henrietta.

He was an avid bowler and golfer and was a fan of IU basketball, the Pacers and the Colts.

Also surviving are one son, Michael Haynes, Rensselaer; one daughter, Darla Culp and her husband, Bruce, Cicero; one brother, Larry Haynes and his wife, Brenda, Monticello; one sister, Jane Barnes, Burnettsville; his mother-in-law, Thelma Dunn, Logansport; one granddaughter, Darby Culp, Cicero; two stepgranddaughters, Kristi Acord and her husband, R.J., Goshen, and Jessie Culp, Cicero; one stepgrandson, Klark Culp, Cicero; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Holli Acord and Tyler Acord; and several nieces and nephews.

Three sisters, Josephine Haynes, Carol Haynes and Marjorie Firmani; one brother, Dick Haynes; and one twin brother, Daniel Paul Haynes, preceded in death.

The Rev. William Art Maloney will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home, where an Elk’s service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Sunday.
