David Schmid

David B. Schmid, 63, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital on January 15, 2018.

Born on August 8, 1954 in Marion County, IN he was the son to the late Lawrence D. and Alberta A. (Tiemeier) Schmid.

On June 14, 1991 in Greenwood, IN he married Lynn E. Easter.

David loved trains and followed his passion going on to work for Conrail as a carman and welder. He was an avid IU fan, loved to spend time at the pond and fish.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn E. Schmid, Twelve Mile, IN; two daughters, Bailey S. Schmid, Jonesville, MI; Jordan L. Schmid, Twelve Mile, IN; one sister, Susan (Jim) Herron, Indianapolis, IN; one brother-in-law, Doug (Ann) Easter, Logansport, IN; father-in-law, Fred Easter, Twelve Mile, IN; one niece, Katie Easter, Logansport and one nephew, Jonathan Easter, Logansport.

Per David’s request, there will be no service at this time but a gathering in his memory will be held at a later date with friends and family.

The Schmid family has entrusted Gundrum Funeral Home and Crematory with arrangements.
