David Steel

David M. Steel, 71, of Logansport, passed away on Sunday February 5, 2017 in Woodbridge Health Campus.

Born June 18, 1945 in Logansport, he was the son to the late Paul and Agnes (Ewald) Steel.

On August 24, 1986 in Logansport, he married Bonnie J. Neumann who survives.

David worked at the Cass County Sheriffs’ Department for 23 years. He later went on to work at Logansport Memorial Hospital as the Security Director for 13 years. David was a 1964 South Caston graduate and was a member of the F.O.P. Lodge #71. David loved the outdoors, enjoyed hunting, fishing, antiquing and spending time with his family including his dog Murphy.

David leaves behind his wife Bonnie, two sons, Jim (Tanya) Abramczyk, Delphi, IN; Brian (Donna) Abramczyk, Cleveland, OH; one daughter, Misty M. (Harry) Brew, Logansport, IN; one brother, Tom (Wendy) Steel, Kewanna, IN; one sister, Susan (William) Haner, Logansport, IN; six grandsons, Brandon Barron, Fishers, IN; Ron Moyer, Logansport, IN; Colin Brew, Logansport, IN; Brett Abramczyk, Delphi, IN; Nathan Abramczyk, Delphi, IN; Zachary Abramczyk, Cleveland, OH; two granddaughters, Morgan Brew, Kokomo, IN; and Tori Brew Kokomo, IN. The family would like to also extend a special thank you to Dave’s nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held At 7:00pm Wednesday February 8, 2017 at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Gross Officiating. Cremation has been entrusted to Cass County Crematory.

Visitation will be held from 3:00pm until time of services on Wednesday at the Funeral Home

Memorials may be made to the Cass County Humane Society.
