David Paul Swan, 68, of Logansport passed away at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 24 in his residence.
Born on August 14, 1944 in Ogdensburg, New York, David was the son of the late Daniel and Myra Sayer Swan.
He retired as a Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force.
While in the military David served three tours of duty in England and one year in Vietnam.
He was a former member of the American Legion Post#60, and had also worked in maintenance at Controls Inc., Rochester Metals, Olympic Foods, and Sangralea Valley Christian Campus.
Surviving David is one son, Carl Dean (Misty) Swan, Kokomo; two daughters, Juanita Lea Jackson, Logansport, and Loralie Ann Brose, West Lafayette; four sisters, Karen Swan, New York; Pat Kiblin, North Carolina; Sheila Glasso, and Jane Nolan, both of Florida; seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Darron, Camryn, Ciera, and Hayli Jackson, Abigail and Emma Brose.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and seven sisters.
Full military graveside rites will be held at 10:00am Saturday, February 2, 2013 in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Legion Circle.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 7:00PM on Friday, February 1, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Senior Center / Cass County Transit in Logansport.
