David Walker

David L. Walker, 74 of Logansport, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born on July 27, 1948, in Logansport, David is the son of the late William and Mavis Jean (Harmon) Walker.  On November 13, 1969, in Logansport David married Joy L. Townsend who preceded in death on November 20, 2011.

David worked for Exide Battery Factory and retired in 1988 after 17 years of employment.  He enjoyed motorcycles and restoring of ATVs, lawn mowers and mopeds.

Surviving David are two daughters, Tammy Walker of Lafayette, IN, Lisa (Scott Geisler) Walker of Logansport, IN; son, Tim (Shannon) Walker of Logansport, IN; four sisters, Gay (Doyle) Robertson of Whitestown, IN; Kathy (Rich) Rush of Walton, IN; Connie (Kenny) Reese of Logansport, IN; Chris Walker of Peru, IN; brother, Matt Walker of Brookston, IN; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Terry L. Walker, Bill Walker, and Joe Walker.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday.
