David J. Weaver

David J. Weaver, 87, of Idaville, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2013 at 2:26PM in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Born March 28, 1926, in White County, Indiana, He was the son of the late David E. and Ethel Viola (Suiter) Weaver. On March 27, 1949 in Burnettsville, Indiana he married Lois E. Green who preceded in death July 14, 2013.

David was a retired farmer. He enjoyed handling livestock and was also a licensed livestock dealer.

Surviving him is one daughter, Barbara (Brian) Murphy, Logansport; three sons, Michael (Cathy) Weaver, Camden; Richard (Laurie) Weaver, Idaville; Dennis Weaver, Galveston; nine granddaughters, Mary Ann (Ben) Brooks, Texas; Brianne (Robert) Negrete, Florida; Samantha (Desmon) Heyward, Georgia; Sara (Justin) Clonan, Florida; Amber Shafer, Burnettsville; Rachel (Andy) Harker, Delphi; Jennifer (Michael) Cody, Kentucky; Amy Burt, Seymour; Adrian Strasser, Logansport; six grandsons, Troy (Genevieve) Weaver, Texas; Brian (Merlina) Weaver, Burnettsville; Jim Weaver,Indianapolis; Scott Weaver, Kokomo; two step grandsons, Michael Berkshire, Burnettsville; David (Sabrina) Berkshire, Monticello; four sisters, Bonnietta Carter, Burnettsville; Alberta (Leonard) Grable, Star City; Irene Lawson, Royal Center; Leota Green, Oregon; two brothers, Franklin (Nancy) Weaver, Royal Center; Donald (Elsie) Weaver, Nyona Lake; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Lloyd Weaver, and one sister, Viola Veach.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm Sunday, August 18, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with pastor Opal Rieff officiating. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery, Burnettsville.

Visitation will be held from 3 - 7 PM on Saturday, August 17, 2013 in the Gundrum Funeral Home
