Dean Saunders

Dean D. Saunders, 86, of Logansport, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 in Chase Center of Logansport.

Born on November 22, 1926 in Marion, IN, he was the son of the late Rev. Eldridge and Rosa (Stevens) Saunders. On August 6, 1954 in Larwill, IN he married Sandra S. Martin who survives.

Dean was the retired owner of Witmyer's Restaurant. He was also a WWII Army Veteran serving with the 21st infantry in the Philippines and Japan.
Surviving along with his wife is one son, Jerry (Diane) Ware, Sturgis, MI; one brother, Gaylord Saunders, Scottsdale, AZ; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

By Dean's request there will be no services. Cremation has been entrusted to Gundrum Funeral Home and Cass County Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Cass County Humane Society.
