Services for Delores Jean Morgan Elliott, 86, Sebring, Fla., formerly of Logansport, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

She died at 2 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009, in Maranatha Manor, Sebring, Fla.

Born Oct. 2, 1922, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Orville “Judd” Reed and Lydia Smith. She was married June 15, 1947, in Logansport, to Robert Morgan, who preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1987. Her second marriage was Jan. 5, 1994, in Sebring, Fla., to Jay Elliott, who preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 2002.

Delores was a retired office manager for Mulhausen Spring Co.

She was a member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church and Hillcrest Baptist Church of Logansport. Mrs. Elliott was active in her church and especially took pleasure in teaching children. Her hobbies included camping and traveling, and she enjoyed “clowning as Hi-Pockets” and pantomiming. In her latter years, she concentrated on doting on her grandchildren.

Surviving are daughters, Cozette “Cozee” Warner and husband, Jim, Amherst, Va., and Rita Morgan, North Dakota; sons, John Pierpont “J.P.” Morgan and wife, Cheryl, Chicago, and Richard L. “Rick” Morgan and wife, Glenda, Merrillville; stepdaughters, Cherrie Tatro and husband, Ken, Missouri, and Barbara Willard and husband, Gary, New York; stepsons, Ron Elliott and wife, Debbie, and Rick Elliott and wife, Bonnie, all of New York, and Mark Elliott and wife, Anne, Virginia; seven grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

Mr. Jim Warner will officiate. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
