Denise Mize

Denise E. Mize, 62 of Logansport, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born on August 30, 1956 in Logansport, she is the daughter to the late Richard N. and Aileen L. (Carlson) Reeser.  On June 30, 1972 in Logansport, she married Everett Joseph Mize Jr. who survives.

Denise worked as a nurse at Monticello Health Care for the passed seven years, she had also previously worked at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport and Peru.

Denise always demonstrated her nursing traits of compassion, loving and caring with her, even when she wasn’t at work. She lived her life caring for others and making a difference in every life she crossed. She enjoyed collecting precious moments figurines but the most important thing in her life was her family, she loved to spend time with them, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving along with her husband, Everett, is a son, Eric (Lacey) Mize, Fishers, IN; two daughters, Michelle (John) Butcher, Denver, IN; Laura K. Porter, Logansport; grandchildren, Jackie Butcher, Bia Butcher, Carter Porter, Chase Porter and Eli Butcher; two brothers, Jeff (Wilda) Reeser, Logansport; Terry (Pam) Reeser, Avon, IN; sister, Deb Reeser, Logansport; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Angie’s Catering, 1007 17 ^th Street, Logansport, IN 46947.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Gundrum Funeral Home and Crematory.
