Denny Shaver

Services for Denny M. Shaver, 68, Logansport, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Gundrum Funeral Home.

He died at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, in his home.

Born Feb. 21, 1941, in Logansport, he was the son of Delbert A. and Anna Maxine Llewellyn Shaver. He was married to Judith G. Langsdon, who preceded in death Dec. 16, 2006.

Denny was a member of the Helm Street Church of God. He was a talented basketball player for Logansport High School, and everyone who knew him was aware of his sense of humor. He was a life insurance salesman for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.

Surviving are son, Derek Shaver, Logansport; sister Deborah Carpenter, Logansport; brother, Tom Shaver and his wife, Janet, Logansport; sister-in-law Jaynie Craun, Marion; and several nieces and nephews.

Pastor Dean Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
